Yes! Gift cards can be purchased directly on our class pages and you’ll receive a fancy email gift certificate or contact us and we can make you a printed one.

How long is my class?
  • Tandem Glass Blowing classes are typically 2 hours for a single piece plus 1 hour for each additional piece.
  • Blow Your Own classes are 30 - 60 minutes, depending on how many participants we have.
  • Limited Edition classes are 45 - 60 minutes per piece.
How many people are in my class?
Our Tandem classes are private, so it’d just be you and your group plus our artists. Our Blow Your Own & Limited Edition classes have 1-6 participants.
Is booking online safe?

Yes! We’ve partnered with FareHarbor.com to provide a secured online booking interface for our glass blowing classes.

Participation

What do I wear?
Closed toed shoes are required for participation in our classes. In addition to closed toe shoes, please wear comfortable clothing, preferably cotton or other natural fibers, and bring something to tie back long hair. Avoid overly loose clothing or dangling accessories such as scarves and long necklaces. Shorts & a t-shirt are common attire in studio nearly year round.
Is prior experience necessary?
Negative! Our classes are design for those with little to no glass blowing experience.
What’s included?
All of the tools and materials necessary for your class will be provided.
What ages can take a class?

Our Friendship Globe class is suitable for participants aged 14 and older; children aged 5-13 may participate in a limited capacity.  The rest of our classes are 18+.  There is no maximum age, we’ve had spry 90 year-old great-grandmas rock it in the studio!

Am I healthy enough to participate?

In the end, that is up to you to decide, my friend. Glass blowing is an industrial art form and our classes are very active. If you’re concerned about mobility, dexterity, or sight limitations, please notify the studio in advance so we can make accommodations. If you have health concerns, please discuss it with your health professional.

What else is required to participate?
  • All participants, along with their legal guardians if participant is under the age of 18, must sign our liability release to be eligible to participate.
  • Participant and their guests who are disruptive, unsafe, or exhibiting hazardous behaviour may forfeit their reservation and be asked to leave the premises.
What will I get from the class?
Our activities focus on the authentic experience of working with molten glass, which usually results in a beautiful piece of art that you can call your own.  However, there are no guarantees that your piece(s) will come out as intended. It’s possible - though rare - that your piece(s) may not survive the creation & annealing process; should this occur we’ll go over options for you to still have a memento of your experience.
Why do you call it “Tandem” Glass Blowing?
We like to think of it as tandem skydiving, just for glass. Our artist instructors will work in tandem with you to design and create your piece, allowing you to have the full experience of blowing glass without the years of practice and dedication required to do it on your own.

Getting your Piece(s)

Can I take my piece(s) with me?
Unfortunately no, our art form requires the glass to cool or “anneal” onsite for about 24 hours. Your piece(s) will be ready for pick up 2 business days after your class.
Can you ship?
Absolutely! Shipping starts at $25 per piece.
How long will you keep my piece for me?
Unless prior arrangements are made, pieces left over 30 days become property of the studio.  If you’re unable to pick up your piece(s) within that time, please contact us to make arrangements.
